Daminik was born out of a simple frustration: watching clients upload the same logo ten times across ten different websites.
We asked ourselves, what if they could manage their assets more efficiently from one place?

That question led us to build Daminik, an open-source digital asset manager designed to streamline how teams and individuals store and deliver media. Our philosophy is simple: provide a single source of truth for every digital asset.

The application had to handle a massive volume of visual content, which can easily lead to cognitive overload. My primary goal as designer at Daminik was to ensure the interface never competed with the content for the user’s attention.

I designed a high-efficiency, minimalistic UI that prioritizes user-uploaded media above all else. By utilizing clean typography and reducing button density to only the essentials, I stripped away visual noise.

We validated Daminik through live-environment testing with partners who integrated the tool directly into their active workflows. This provided a direct feedback loop, allowing me to observe firsthand how users interacted with massive datasets in high-pressure scenarios.

These insights were instrumental in identifying pain points, such as navigation friction and asset discoverability, which I then translated into iterative design improvements.

Daminik is being developed by a team of five. As the sole designer on the project, I am responsible for the end-to-end user experience, visual identity, and interface design.
